Children's Health

Give the Gift of Growing Up Healthy

Every year thousands of children in the Yakima Valley and surrounding areas depend on MultiCare Yakima Memorial’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Unit, Family Birthplace, Maternal Health, and Children’s Village clinics to provide the best health care possible. To provide this care, we rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. In Yakima County, approximately 47% of children use Medicaid as their primary health insurance. Your generous donations are helping to support these programs and the most vulnerable members of our community – our children.

Thank You

Please know that I am forever grateful for the work you do for children and their families. You were a Godsend and a blessing in shaping my twin granddaughters' lives and enabled them to have a secure and confident future that could have been otherwise without your wise counsel and treatments. Keep up the good work.”

Children’s Village is the regional integrated center for children with special healthcare needs and their families, keeping multiple provider and services available to families all under one roof. This family-oriented organization aims to meet each children’s needs for individualized care with over 35 kinds of specialized services ranging from developmental evaluations to dental services, occupational therapy to mental health counseling and so much more.

Your donations help parents on Medicaid who are otherwise unable to afford the health care their child needs, along with keeping equipment and infrastructure up-to-date.

Yakima Valley Memorial’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) sees hundreds of newborns every year. It is Central Washington’s only NICU, providing specialty care for at-risk infants.

Your donations help keep the equipment and tools used by the skilled medical staff up-to-date, saving the lives of so many babies in our Valley.

Yakima Valley Memorial’s Family Birthplace has been the location of over 140,000 births since they opened their doors in 1950. Since then, this department has developed to become one of the most sophisticated in Washington.

Your donations help keep the facilities up to date with the latest tools and equipment.

Maternal Child Health provides community-based programs and services focused on providing preventive health and education for growing families throughout Central Washington. Programs include genetic counseling, maternity support services, maternal child health home visiting, and coordination of regional perinatal improvement programs. All services are available in English and Spanish.

By giving women and infants the support they need to make healthy choices, Maternal Health Services strives to promote healthy babies and strong families.

Yakima Valley Memorial’s team of pediatricians and nurses understand the concerns and fear parents have whenever they need to rush their children to the hospital. They focus their efforts on providing individualized medical care in a unit that’s designed with the family in mind.

Your donations help families afford the health care their child needs and keeps care local, while also ensuring the staff has the tools and equipment they need.
